Interruption Underwriting Agencies (IUA) was established in 1987. It has a proud history of specialising in Business Interruption Insurance. This allows IUA employees to build an extensive amount of knowledge with regard to business interruption insurance.

IUA - Why the Phoenix?

A phoenix is a mythical bird with beautiful gold and red plumage. At the end of its life-cycle the phoenix builds itself a nest of cinnamon twigs that bursts into flame. From the ashes a new, young phoenix arises. The bird was also said to regenerate when hurt or wounded by a foe, thus being almost immortal.

The phoenix has proved an enduring symbol in modern popular culture, symbolising rebirth, recreation and renewal; literally 'rising from the ashes'.
